It’s been too many years to count since I’ve made a Christmas List. I never always got what I wanted but that was okay. I always got the top things on my list, and I was very aware of how lucky I was.
This song has been haunting my brain for real. Normally, my brain goes from one song to another, stopping on one song for only a few minutes. My brain is a damn radio, but this is okay with me since I never have one song stuck in my head for too long.
But this one, it’s almost like it’s determined not to leave.
And I think there’s a very good reason for that.
No more lives torn apart
That wars would never start
And time would heal all hearts
And everyone would have a friend
And right would always win
And love would never end
This is my grown up christmas list
So here, Santa. Here’s my Grown up Christmas List. “Not for myself, but for a world in need.”
- That our brave men and women in the Middle East would be able to come home.
- That religion and race wouldn’t be a reason for discrimination any more.
- That there would finally be peace in the middle east.
- That every one could have a Merry Christmas.
- That everyone would have a loving family. No more abandoning or abusive parents.
- And everyone would be able to go home to their loving family during Christmas.
- That everyone would agree that everyone has the right to make their own decisions. That everyone deserves the right to choose their own life and even what form of government they want in their country.
- That truth and justice would win out every time. And corrupt power, such as that which encompasses Washington today, wouldn’t be in power anymore.
- That all men* would let go of their grudges. (*Because men are the worst at keeping grudges.
So that’s it, Santa. I realize not all of them are possible. But whatever you can do for us, we’d sure appreciate it.Oh yeah, and Santa?
I would also like a digital camera. Thanks a bunch, Santa. I’m not totally altruistic.

Very sweet and inspiring, especially when it is so easy to get caught up in silly little materialistic things right now.
